We will come to your school and bring our high energy military style ‘boot camp’ with us!
Two of our instructors will come to your school, set up a high tempo obstacle course and lead a military style boot camp. Children will carry out age appropriate fitness games as well as getting plenty of time to test themselves on our assault course. We can deliver our sessions to the whole school, with each year group spending approx 45 mins with us or bespoke our a sessions to fit your requirements.
Two qualified and experienced instructors can deliver to the whole school in a day. Each year group is split into two groups. One group tackle the assault course, the other group are led in robust fun military style physical PT. The groups then swap over so everyone gets to do both activities. Each year group get approx 45 mins with us (reception normally get about half an hour which, from our experience, is about right). The emphasis is on high energy fun that get the children very active – we have been told the children usually sleep well after a session with us.
We deliver high energy sessions for the children, reception up to year six at your site (we come to you). The year group is split in to two. One group tackles the mobile assault course while the other participates in a military style training session. After twenty minutes, the groups change around.
There will be a minimum of two instructors. They are ex-uniformed services – military, fire etc. They have training qualifications, are DBS checked and have received autism awareness and safeguarding training.
We recommend everyone who attends wears tracksuit bottoms and a long sleeved top. Shoes/ pumps/ trainers can not be worn on the inflatable assault course (the Go Commando directing staff will manage this). Children are advised to bring a spare pair of socks as they met get wet / dirty during the sessions.
Yes, it will be very tiring! All children must have a drink with them. If it’s hot, suitable sunscreen and a hat should be provided.
If it aint raining it aint training! That said if it is deemed us torrential then we can work with you to arrange another day. we will only ever postpone due to weather warnings. The assault course is pegged down, however, the risk assessment dictates that the inflatable should not be used in winds over 45 MPH.
Our equipment is big, bulky and heavy. We will need direct vehicular access to your outdoor space which should be a grassed area measuring a minimum of 80 meters by 40 meters.
No. Our assault course does not require power
Yes. We can do a two form entry school in a day – reception getting about half an hour, years one to six about 45 minutes.
